About Saia
I have always loved art since I was a child. I would doodle, make characters out of eggshells, and I always had a smile on my face. I would tell people that my dream was to be an artist. Things weren't always smooth and I went through a number of years of depression and anxiety. But truly, it was a blessing in disguise as it led me to learn about psychology, meditation, personal development, and ART! It helped me realize that I am passionate about creating art that inspires myself and others. In addition to an artist, I am also a professional life coach who helps highly sensitive people (HSPs) with a history of depression and anxiety heal emotionally, gain confidence, and live a powerful and fulfilling life.

My Art
My process is largely intuitive and self-expressive. My inspirations come from my mental visions, meditation, as well as my solo travels around the world. Most of my artistic skills are self-taught and I am always learning and playing with new tools, materials, and possibilities to expand my creations. I believe we can all make amazing art by opening our heart and being authentic in the creation process regardless of how "talented" we are. We are all creative. \o/

Random Facts

  • I renamed myself as an adult. "Saia" is short for Sayalay, the Burmese word for "nun", which to me means someone who devotes her entire life towards a higher, spiritual purpose. Since I am not fully a nun (I'm still living at home), I took only part of the word.

  • I am a licensed bartender and I no longer consume alcohol. :P

  • My favourite one-liner is "anything not related to elephants is irrelephant."
