Say hello to Algae Man, the protagonist of this painting series! Algae was one of the earliest life forms to appear on Earth, so I took it as a metaphor for the origin of life. Algae Man is our soul, our inner child -- the innermost essence within all of us, the origin of our being, and our connection to Source or God.

Algae Man appeared before the differentiation of races, before we learned the emotions of worry, sadness, or anger, and before war or discrimination. He/she is always curious, peaceful, and joyous, like a golden, radiant newborn.
